Following yet more postponements since Xmas time, Manor are now due to host Stansted this tuesday night (19th January) in their first competitive match of 2010 and their first match since the 1-1 draw against Hullbridge Sports.

The Essex Senior League match is a 7.45pm kick off at Southchurch Arena.

Manor will again be in action at the Arena this coming saturday 23rd January when they host London Apsa with a 3pm kick off.

Manor face no fewer than seven matches in the opening month of 2010. Following recent postponements due to the wintery weather, Manor now face a hectic schedule in January starting with a visit to Barkingside on Saturday 2nd Jan. Please note that admission to this game is 'free' entry to all supporters visiting Oakside for an expected Bumper 'New Year Crowd'. Full fixtures can be seen in the Fixtures and Results section.

The next home match at Southchurch Arena is a league match against Stansted scheduled for Tuesday 19th, 7.45pm kick off.

Manor have been drawn away to Basildon United in the Quarter Finals of the Gordon Brasted Trophy. The match is scheduled for Saturday 9th January @ Gardiners Lane, Basildon.

Southend Manor finally ended their penalty shootout hoodoo in tuesdays 2nd round win against Barkingside.

The Draw for the Third Round of The Essex Senior Cup will be broadcast live from BBC Essex headquarters at 6:10pm this Friday, 9th October. The draw can be heard on 103.5

Four first team regulars have recently passed the Milestone of 100 first team appearances during the seasons opening months. This is a fantastic acheivement for all of these individuals who have shown great loyalty and commitment to the club.

Ross Webster, Adam Seal, Jon Wheatstone and Wilf Msiska have all joined the '100 Club' and join fellow first teamers Dave Manda,  Jason Jay and Danny Kemp in acheiving this feat.

Manor have been drawn at home to fellow Essex Senior league side Barkingside in the second round of this seasons Essex Senior Cup, this of course is a repeat of the second round fixture of last season.

The match is due to be played before 10 October and the winners will progress to the 3rd round where the big clubs like Southend United and Colchester United enter the competition.

Following Saturdays 2-2 draw in the extra prelim round of the FA Cup, Southend Manor now host Hatfield Town in a replay this week under the lights at the Arena.

The match is scheduled for Tuesday 18th August with 7.45pm kick off.

The winners of this replay travel to Arseley Town in the next round on Saturday 29th August.

Manor have a tricky start in what looks set to be a very competitive league. In the league we host Barkingside on the opening day (August 8th). Manor then travel to last season's suprise package Takeley (22nd) before hosting last season's runners up Enfield (29th).

Another noteworthy fixture is that Boxing day football returns to the Arena this season with Manor set to host Bethnal Green United.

The Cup fixtures will be added to the fixture list as soon as they are announced. Manor are already travel to Barking on Tuesday 11th August in the league cup before the FA Cup trip away to Hatfield Town on Saturday 18th August.

We have news on five competitons that our first team will participate in during this forthcoming season including the FA Cup and the FA Vase draws.

After finishing 4th last season, Southend Manor have been rewarded with a bye in the first two qualifying rounds of the FA Vase. They enter the competition at the first round proper stage in October with a visit to fellow ESL side Enfield 1893.

In the FA Cup extra Prelim round, Manor visit Hatfield Town (Spartan South Midlands) on Saturday 15th August. The winners will face Arseley Town away two weeks later.

In the Essex Senior league, the inclusion of Tiptree Utd, Witham Town and Bethnal Green Utd sees the league boast an 18 team constitution for the 2009/10 campaign, this is largest that the league has ever been. This seasons opening round of games is on Saturday 8th August.

In the League Cup, Manor have been placed in group F with Bethnal Green Utd and Barking, whilst in the Gordon Brasted Trophy, Manor host Enfield 1893.

Following the club winning the hospitality award last year for our under 18 and under 16 Alliance league sides, we are delighted to announce that our First team has won the Essex Senior League Fair play award.

This award is based on a combination of disciplinary points from cautions and dismissals across the whole league during the entire league campaign.

Well done to Stroyan, Russell and the entire first team squad on acheiving this award and for playing in a sporting and exciting manner on their way to a creditable fourth spot finish.

Southend Manor held their annual presentation evening on Saturday 2 May.

Following a successful first campaign under the new management team of Stroyan Nelson and Russell Faulkener, the first team acheieved their best Essex Senior League finish for several years with a Top 4 finish.

With several stand out performers throughout the season, it was Skipper Jason Jay who picked up the Player of the year award with Jon Wheatstone collecting the Players player award.

Colin Higgs picked up the Clubman of the year award and Dave Tubbs also collected a Special award for his loyalty to the first team throughout the campaign.

With the first team frustratingly suffering a few gameless match days recently, the club acted quickly to arrange a couple of friendlies to enable the squad to get some much needed game time. Several games were recently postponed due to the wintery conditions.

Southend Manor visited Ryman North side Concord Rangers last Thursday (15th Jan). A superb Chris Badderley hat-trick gave Manor a victory against a strong Concord side featuring a mixture of first team players, fringe players and trialists.

Tonight (Tuesday 20th) Manor hosted our friends from Leigh Town who play in the Premier league of the Borough Combination. On a boggy pitch, Manor ran out comfortable 3-0 winners and were thwarted on numerous occaions by the visiting keeper. Chris Badderley finally broke the deadlock in the second half and a brace from Clint Foorde sealed the victory.

Southend Manor are pleased to announce the double signing of Dan Wornham and Jay Smith. The signing of these player's proves a timely boost to the Manor squad going into the new year.

Dan is a highly rated defender and is best known for his years at Burnham Ramblers whilst Jay returns to Manor from Gt Wakering Rovers, Jay of course played for the Manor first team when in the U/18 side back in 2003.

The current squad have made a good start to the campaign and these signings will provide healthy competition within the squad.

The club is saddened to announce the recent death of Dave Kittle.

Dave was a long serving member of Southend Manor Football Club and was of course a former Club Secretary, a role in which he once won the honour of being named 'League club secretary of the year'.

He was a good and wise friend to our chairman and a familiar face during his years within the club. Following a long illness which he bore with great courage, David recently passed away. David's funeral took place on Friday 7th November.

He will be greatly missed by everybody at the club as well as in the wider football community. Our deepest thoughts and sympathies go out to his friends and to his family.

Essex Senior Cup:- The draw for the County's most prestigious Cup competition was recently made at Essex HQ by Essex Cricket Start Graham Napier. The 4-2 home success over Barkingside means that Manor now have a glamour tie away to Conference South league leaders Chelmsford City. The match will take place at Chelmsford's Melbourne Park on Monday 3 November, 7.30pm Kick off.

Gordon Brasted Trophy:- Southend Manor's reward for recently beating Clapton, is an away tie in the Quarter Finals against Burnham Ramblers.

Finally, in the Essex Senior League Cup:- Should Manor secure the runners up spot ahead of Barking in group 'C', they will meet the Winners of group 'D' in a two legged Quarter Final. This will be against either Sawbridgeworth or Barkingside.
